Responsibilities

Deborah is a young polyglot professional working in the Digital Technologies and Start-up Ecosystem Department of the German Energy Agency (dena) in Berlin. After graduating in European Politics and Society, an Erasmus Mundus Master’s programme held in Prague, Leiden and Kraków, she moved to Paris for a traineeship at the French Parliament, where her work focused on defence and energy policy.

She continued her career with a Blue Book traineeship at DG DEFIS, fostering the market uptake of satellite data applications in climate protection. After a brief period as a consultant on environment-related dossiers, she found her vocation at dena. There, she connects innovators with investors and policymakers globally to enable greater capital mobilisation for a green energy transition.

Having lived in ten countries, and passionate and knowledgeable about climate action and the nexus of geopolitics, competitiveness, politics and society, she is committed to playing her part in a just transition.

Responsibilities

Hendrik is a PhD candidate at the Technical University of Denmark, researching advanced materials for energy storage and conversion technologies. With professional experience across Germany, Australia, Belgium, and Denmark, he has built a strong international network and a deep connection to Europe’s green transition. He is currently co-founding a startup to bring cutting-edge solutions to market and drive impactful change. Hendrik has participated in global initiatives and meetings, including the Student Leaders Programme of the International Renewable Energy Agency and COP27. He is passionate about international collaboration, green technologies, and bridging science, industry, and policy.

Responsibilities

Rafael Castro-Amoedo holds a PhD in energy from EPFL, where he specialised in energy systems analysis and optimisation. He is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Emissium, a cleantech start-up that leverages real-time, high-resolution electricity data to accelerate the transition to a low-carbon, low-cost energy system. Alongside his entrepreneurial work, Rafael holds a research position at Instituto Superior Técnico, where he focuses on modelling and optimising complex energy systems to support decarbonisation strategies at national and regional scales.

Responsibilities

Marco Costa is the Renewable Energy Communities and One-Stop Shops Area Manager at the Energy and Sustainable Development Agency (AESS) in Modena, Italy. He has supported dozens of municipalities in the technical, legal, and financial implementation of Renewable Energy Communities (RECs) and related sustainability initiatives. His work encompasses project and stakeholder management, EU grant implementation, and the development of One-Stop Shop (OSS) services.

With a degree in energy engineering from the University of Padova (Italy), Marco has contributed to student and local initiatives promoting sustainable energy. He is an advocate for encouraging more young professionals to pursue impactful careers in public energy agencies as drivers of local energy transition.

Amsatou is a thermal, energy and environmental engineer from INSA Strasbourg, currently working as a nuclear HVAC engineer at Hinkley Point C in the United Kingdom. She is Vice-President for Strategy and Development at Women in Nuclear – Young Generation, where she supports youth engagement and diversity in clean energy. She is also involved in AAPN, a network that connects African professionals in the nuclear field. Passionate about clean energy advocacy, she enjoys building bridges between communities and helping young people find their voice in the energy transition.

Nađa is a dynamic entrepreneur driving innovation in sustainable energy and technology. She is the co-founder and CEO of Coolect, an AI-powered compliance software that helps companies measure and improve sustainability. Coolect has been recognised as one of the top 40 European deep-tech startups led by women (Women TechEU 2025).

With a master’s in law and an MBA in energy economics, Nađa pivoted from a legal career to the energy sector, starting at an innovative waste-to-hydrogen company. Combining her legal expertise with a deep understanding of energy markets, she focuses on developing tech solutions with measurable impact.

As an assembly member of the Croatian NGO Xenergy – Empowering Women in Energy Transition, Nađa actively contributes to fostering diversity in the energy sector, advocating for greater representation of women and supporting policy dialogue that accelerates sustainable innovation.

Sandy Fameliari (she/her) is a physicist specialising in climate change and renewable energy. For over a decade, she has been active in environmental NGOs, focusing on energy democracy and inclusive, sustainable solutions. Her expertise includes supporting advocacy efforts, leading training programmes, and coordinating pilot projects.

She currently works at Electra Energy in Greece, where she supports the development of community energy initiatives. She is also a founding member of the Hyperion Energy Community.

Sandy’s scientific interest lies in energy efficiency as a tool to improve living conditions and combat energy poverty.

Marina Fernández Fernández-Campoamor is an AI lead in data and AI in energy networks at E.ON Digital Technology, where she drives digital innovation in grid modernisation. She is also the co-founder of @ysi_energy, a communication platform dedicated to disseminating original and rigorously documented content in the energy sector. The platform aims to simplify complex concepts and foster critical thinking to counter misinformation.

Previously, she worked at Coreso, leading key projects in the coordination of Europe’s electricity system. Marina holds a master’s degree in industrial engineering from UPM and TUM, and an honours degree in technology management from CDTM in Munich.

She is passionate about building smarter, more resilient energy systems through data and AI, and about spreading knowledge within the energy sector.

Keylany Hassine bridges cutting-edge technology and environmental stewardship. As founder and CEO of Istya, he developed an AI-powered platform that transforms indoor environments by improving air quality and optimising energy use. With a degree in entrepreneurship and business strategy, he is driven by a commitment to deliver measurable sustainability outcomes.

Under his leadership, Istya’s solutions have been deployed in landmark projects, from the Paris 2024 Olympic Village to public facilities in Aulnay-sous-Bois, achieving clear reductions in CO₂ emissions and energy consumption. In 2025, Istya was named one of Challenges’ '100 Start-ups to Invest In,' a testament to its rapid growth and real-world impact.

Maciej Majchrowicz is an energy professional with a broad perspective on the sector, ranging from utilities and heavy industry to solar, wind, and nuclear projects. As a venture capitalist, he has backed leading climate technologies such as Sunroof and Aerones, and later became an operator and founder. Based in Central and Eastern Europe, Maciej champions a fair and clean energy transition through impactful start-ups he collaborates with, including EcoBean, Enzum, and Widmo.

He remains active in the energy storage sector, particularly within the commercial and industrial segments. A practical and pragmatic leader, he understands the real-world constraints industries face. As a frequent speaker and start-up mentor, he combines advocacy with action, helping to shape a resilient and innovative energy future for the region.
